Archery Hires Creative Chief

Judy Counihan joins as creative director

Riviera and The State indie Archery Pictures has hired Fresh Meat producer Judy Counihan as creative director.

Counihan recently stepped down as chief executive of Solution 3 Productions, the All3Media-backed indie responsible for BBC4 comedy Bucket.

She will report to Archery Pictures founder Kris Thykier.

Counihan is currently exec producing Sky 1’s Bulletproof, the buddy cop drama from Nick Love, Noel Clarke and Ashley Walters being produced by All3Media’s Company Pictures and Vertigo Films.

She was previously exec producer for drama at IWC Media and has worked on feature films including No Man’s Land, Before the Rain and Faintheart.

Separately, Archery Pictures has hired former Carnival exec Danielle Brandon as head of production and ex-Kudos exec Deba Mithal as finance director. 

The appointments follow the departure of Archery co-founder Liza Marshall, who has left to establish Hera Pictures and is working on a remake of Valkyrien for Sky Atlantic.
